2023 Medical Aesthetic Trends

Updated: Jun 27, 2023

The medical aesthetics industry is growing. Growing in terms of the variety of non-surgical treatments that are being offered as well as a growing acceptance that people can and should be free to enhance their appearance if they so choose. As we look ahead at 2023, here are some of the top trends you will see in the industry.

Biostimulators

Hyaluronic acid is a staple for revolumization because it draws water and beautifully plumps the tissues. But at some point, many patients hit 'filler fatigue' and require a less hydrophilic product. This is where softer volumizers like Radiesse and Sculptra come into play. Biostimulatrs will not continue to draw fluid (or create a puffy, overfilled face), but instead will subtly add volume all while stimulating your own collagen.

The results? Your own skin tissues will appear tighter and more firm. Biostimulators are exceptional for areas like the temples and pre-jowl sulcus, but also for other areas of the body like the hands and buttocks.

Mesotherapy/Skin Boosting

An injectable cocktail - for your skin!

A favourite of beauty lovers in Europe and Korea, Mesotherapy is finally getting its time to shine in North America. A combination of different types of ingredients such as amino acids, vitamins, minerals, and plant extracts are placed directly under the skin in a superficial plane to boost hydration and to brighten and thicken the skin. This can be done via direct injection or through devices such as the Beauty Booster. Results shown are 10 days post treatment. Glowing skin is in in 2023 and boosters are the way to get it!

Combination Therapy/Treatment Stacking

Our lives are busy and more than every, people want efficiency. The idea of Treatment Stacking or Combination Therapy is using multiple modalities to get maximum outcomes. Think of it like a superset at the gym, but for your face. Advanced practitioners are able to address multiple concerns for patients in one convenient appointment. We used BBL to address this patients concerns regarding redness and uneven skin tone, immediately followed by the Beauty Booster to help minimize pores and hydrate the skin. After photos were taken one week after treatment.

Skincare Planning/Coaching

Our skin changes with the seasons, with different medical conditions, with multiple ingredient interactions and even with different aesthetic treatments. Managing this can often become too much and it's very easy to veer in the wrong direction and cause more injury to our largest organ. Take the hassle out of guesswork with your own Skin Coach. Multiple sessions throughout the year with a dedicated and knowledgable coach who can help you add in new products at the right time and make adjustments when you hit a plateau is a surefire way to make sure you are giving your skin exactly what it needs.

Back to Body

In the last few years there has been a shift from caring for our bodies to prioritizing our faces. But in 2023, its about realizing that self care isn't about choosing one over the other. We can do both - and we have the tools to do it!

We can elevate our results in the gym and tone with EMS devices, we can tighten lax tissues caused by weight loss, aging and pregnancy with radio-frequency energy, we can target sun damage with light therapy and we can restore lost volume and create new contours with dermal fillers with non invasive treatments and minimal to no downtime.
